I’ve learned that one of my favorite artists Obsidian, the creator of web comic, Commissioned Comic and a fan favorite on Extra Life Radio, has recently suffered a hard drive failure on his computer. The result? Three weeks of comic  work lost, and a number of private commissioned artworks he was completing as well. To make matters worse, he lives in Colombia, a country where anything and everything that is technology related costs a fortune. So if he is going to get a new hard drive and get back to creating the comic, he is going to require some much needed financial assistance.

Now why should you help? Well, for one thing, Obsidian updates 7 days a week, and has been for the past 3 years. That’s right, he’s designed and illustrated over 900 comics for us to enjoy, completely free of charge. So you know that he is dependable and that he is not going to blow the money on something silly like a Nintendo Wii or a Sony Playstation 3.

I’m pledging to help and I hope that those of you who enjoy webcomics will also pledge a few dollars to his paypal donation link that is located to the right of his comic. Please check out his comic as well! Click on the links. Every little trickle of Google AdSense revenue helps.
