Love the Earth Film and Imogen Heap Concert to Stream For Free in HD Tomorrow

About six weeks ago, musician Imogen Heap and Thomas Ermacora began an open source project, LoveTheEarthFilm.org to gather video clips submitted by others, showing the world around them and the beauty of nature in our world. This film has been edited together and will debut in London, on Friday, November 5th (Guy Fawkes Day) and will be backed by a live 200 piece orchestral performance that was composed, and will be conducted by Heap at the Royal Albert Concert Hall.  The musical composition will feature 11 movements that were inspired by the mathematical Fibonacci sequence of 1, 1, 2, 3, 5, 8, 5, 3, 2, 1, 1. Resulting in a piece that should be around 32 minutes in duration.

Heap and Ermacora discuss the project in the clip below:

For those would like to see the film and performance, and are unable to attend in person at the Royal Albert Concert Hall, in London, you will be able to watch a High Definition stream of the concert at LoveTheEarthFilm.org . It begins at 6:30 p.m. (GMT), which is about 11:30 a.m. in U.S. Pacific Standard Time.

Heap will perform her two hour concert performance thereafter.

They are hoping to do a commercial release of the film (likely on DVD or digital download) at some point in the future.

I’m looking forward to it. It should be interesting what kind of completed experience emerges from a collaboration of over 100 filmmakers and a 200 piece orchestra!
